How long are your pet care visits, and can I customize the duration?

Visit lengths are flexible and can be tailored to your pet’s specific needs.

I offer standard booking durations such as 30, 60, and 120 minutes, which cover most care routines. The minimum booking duration for dog walks and drop-in visits is 30 minutes.

Longer daytime bookings can be arranged in hourly increments and may be booked for as many hours as needed within my service hours, depending on availability. For example, in-home pet daycare may be booked for a longer daytime block, such as 8:00 AM–7:00 PM, when available.

House sitting is a separate extended-care service and is not limited to regular daytime service hours.

Question 3

Is there a minimum number of visits required per day while I’m away?

Yes—minimum visit requirements are in place to ensure your pet’s safety and wellbeing.

For cats, a minimum of one visit per day is required to allow for health checks, feeding, and to ensure they haven’t gotten into unsafe situations.

For bunnies and dogs, a minimum of three visits per day (morning, midday, and evening) is required to support feeding routines, bathroom needs, monitoring, and overall wellbeing.

All other pets require a minimum of one visit per day, unless otherwise discussed based on their specific care needs. Requests for fewer visits will not be accepted.

For pets requiring more continuous supervision, extended care options such as in-pet-home daycare or house sitting may be more appropriate.

Booking in advance is recommended to secure availability.

Do you offer recurring services?

I offer ongoing, recurring walks and drop-ins for clients looking for consistent, reliable care each week.

Recurring bookings are scheduled on a monthly basis, which allows me to reserve dedicated time in my schedule and maintain continuity for both you and your pet. To ensure each pet receives attentive, high-quality care, I limit the number of recurring clients I take on each day to three at a time.

Because of this structured scheduling, recurring services are arranged in advance and follow a consistent booking format. My standard cancellation policy still applies, and if schedules change frequently, we can always switch to flexible, as-needed bookings instead.

What is House & Pet Sitting?

House & Pet Sitting allows your pets to remain in the comfort and familiarity of their own home while receiving personalized care, companionship, and overnight supervision. In addition to overnight stays, care is provided throughout the day between overnight stays and is tailored to your pet's individual routine, personality, and needs.

This service is often a great option for pets who are most comfortable maintaining their normal routines, sleeping in their own environment, and receiving one-on-one care while their family is away.

During House & Pet Sitting, I may leave periodically to attend scheduled client appointments. Any time away is planned responsibly and with careful consideration for your pet's age, routine, temperament, safety, and individual care requirements. If your pet requires a higher level of supervision or dedicated care, exclusive care options may be available upon request.

For new clients requesting House & Pet Sitting stays, I require a 3-day trial stay before any longer booking. This allows me to become your pet's sole in-home caregiver temporarily, ensuring your pet is comfortable with me, routines are clear, and we are a good fit for one another. It also helps create a smoother, less stressful experience for everyone involved during future stays.

Standard arrival time is 5:00 PM on the start date, with departure by 11:00 AM on the final day. Earlier arrivals, later departures, out-of-area bookings, and exclusive care options may be available upon request, subject to availability and applicable fees.

What is In-Pet-Home Daycare, and how is it different from House & Pet Sitting?

In-Pet-Home Daycare provides daytime care, companionship, and supervision for your pets in the comfort of their own home while you're away. Depending on your pet's needs, daycare can range from a few hours of care to extended or exclusive full-day coverage.

House & Pet Sitting is an overnight service designed for times when you're travelling or away overnight. In addition to overnight care, house & pet sitting includes daytime care between overnight stays and is tailored to your pet's individual routine and needs.

The primary difference is that daycare is intended for daytime-only care, while house & pet sitting is designed for overnight care and longer absences from home.

If you're only away during the day, daycare is usually the best fit. If you'll be away overnight, house & pet sitting is generally recommended.

Question 7

What kind of updates should I expect?

I provide semi-structured updates during or after each visit, including detailed notes on your pet’s mood, behaviour, health, eating habits, and the condition of your home, along with plenty of photos and occasional videos. Updates can be sent via your preferred method—text, email, or messaging app. Let me know any specific communication preferences beforehand, and I’ll tailor updates to suit your needs.

Do you offer grooming services?

At this time, I do not provide grooming services. My focus is on personalized pet sitting, dog walking, and enrichment-based care to ensure each animal receives attentive, individualized support. If grooming becomes something I can offer in the future, I will update my services accordingly.

Question 9

Do you offer pet transportation services?

Accepted Answer

I do not provide routine pet transportation. However, if a veterinary visit or emergency arises while your pet is in my care, I will immediately contact you and your listed emergency contacts to arrange private transport. If no one is available, the booking agreement grants me permission to arrange assistance through my emergency contacts or a trusted pet-friendly service, such as UberPet. All transportation and veterinary expenses incurred for necessary or emergency care are the responsibility of the pet owner, as outlined in the booking agreement.
